Welcome to Big City Bass

A little about us

Big City Bass is a fun and active club, our members participate in many different fishing related activities including:

* Tournaments - ranging from small club tournament to large regional events
* Social Activities - whether it's gathering to watch the BassMaster Classic or to have dinner at our annual awards banquet, we enjoy getting together a few times during the year without rods and reels involved
* Community/Conservation - our members have participated in Casting Kids events, structure projects, the Catch a Cure for Cancer Tournament, and are involved with the Utah DWR on issues related to warm water fishing in Utah.

If you think a bass club is just for hard-core tournament junkies, we invite you check out one of our fun-fish events held during the year. These are days or weekends where the club will get together and fish, there's no standings or entry fees. It's a great way to learn new techniques and ideas for catching bass, even if you're not interested in fishing big tournaments. Guess where KVD and Ike got their starts fishing? You guessed it, in federation level bass clubs just like Big City Bass.

We accept new members throughout the year, so watch this site for upcoming meeting and events.

Changes, Changes....

The history of BCB, like most history, is about constant change. First established in 2001 as the Fish'n Hole Bassmasters, the club grew and and matured into one of the more active clubs in the state, quickly establishing a strong core membership. In our first full year of 2002, 2 members of our 10 man club qualified for the Utah State Team. During this time several members were participating in an incentive and sponsorship program with Air Vision Heavy Truck Detailing, owned by one of our club members. In mid-2003 the club voted to officially change the club name to Team Air Vision Pro Bass, it was also at this time that the club established a "web-presence" with a web site and discussion forum. Team Air Vision continued to place members on the State Team and gain reputation as a fun and active bass club.

In 2006 the Utah Bass Federation changed affiliation from BASS to FLW Outdoors/TBF bringing Team Air Vision and all other UBF clubs into the FLW/TBF family. During that year a group of anglers also created a new BASS Federation Nation organization in Utah, which included members of Team Air Vision. Last year, the club filled different rosters for both State Federations but operated as a joint club, late that year the officers decided that to reduce confusion, the FLW/TBF club would be renamed, members submitted ideas on the discussion forum and Big City Bass Club was chosen as the new name. Team Air Vision continues to operate as a BASS affiliated club and act as a "brother" club to Big City Bass.
